Our Mission
Our goal is to provide food, fiber and regenerative grazing services to our community using grazing practices that sustain and improve the lands which support our operation. We strive to make a positive impact in our community through donating food and a portion of our profits to support local community needs and increase access to local food.

Ranch

Our business got its start in northwestern Montana near the shores of Flathead Lake. In 2024 we moved across the country to southeast Texas and we're now located near Franklin, (putting us about two hours away from Austin, Dallas and Houston). Our
Animals
Roving Ram Ranch officially started with 12 Icelandic sheep, but quickly grew to nearly 100 breeding ewes from a variety of breeds. Our move to Texas brought with it some changes to our flock composition to help us better adapt to our new environment. We currently maintain a small flock of Icelandics, a growing group of registered Katahdins and a handful of mixed breed goats that maximize our ability to utilize and manage a variety of forages. We also keep a flock of laying hens and, of course our livestock guardian dogs!
