Breeding Stock for Sale

We often have registered Lincoln Longwool and Icelandic (and Icelandic-Friesian) ewes, lambs, and breeding rams for sale. While we do our best to keep listings updated on this page, there are definitely times where we are behind on posting what we have available! If you are looking for something specific, don't hesitate to reach out to us and ask if we have what you're looking for.

Breeding Stock Availability

We are currently selling bred Icelandic and Icelandic-Friesian ewes through mid-February, ranging in age from 2023 lambs to 4-yr old ewes. These ewes were with rams for 50 days between mid-October and the end of November, with expected lambing dates between March 15-late April.

We also have a very limited selection of bred Lincoln Longwool ewes.

Due to some upcoming changes in our operation, we are hoping to reduce our Icelandic sheep numbers while focusing on growing our Lincoln Longwool and Lincoln x Merino flock. This is the perfect time to put together a starter flock for your homestead or growing sheep operation! Starting with bred ewes gives you nearly a full year before needing to choose a ram for next year's breeding, which can help keep things simple when starting out.

We offer discounts for groups of 10 or more, and larger discounts on 20 or more sheep.

In the past five years of breeding we have consistently selected for good temperaments, excellent mothering traits, ease of conception and lambing, fleece quality and color, and finishing weights of ram lambs (or fall weight/breeding size of ewe lambs). We cull under-performing sheep and sheep who consistently show poor resistance to intestinal and external parasites. Our sheep are not propped up with artificial hormones or antibiotics, and we use   de-wormer sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. The sheep that we have thrive on a forage-only diet and have learned to make the most of any forage buffet we present them with, eating a wide variety of grasses, forbs, shrubs and tree leaves/needles. Because they are moved daily or every other day, they are also used to living in and moving with electric netting and learn from an early ago to respect the boundaries of the fence.

You can read more about our management on our Grassfed Lamb FAQ's page.
